Jade Mahjong · Last updated 2 October 2026

Jade Mahjong (“the app”) is a mahjong solitaire game made by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. It is written to match what the app actually does.

In short

Information kept on your device

Your progress, coins, stars, streaks, collection, settings and game statistics are saved only on your phone or tablet. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes them. If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include this data in your personal Google backup, which we cannot access.

Saving progress with Google (optional)

If you choose “Save my progress with Google”, you sign in with your Google account through Firebase Authentication. We then receive your Google account ID, email address and name. A copy of your game progress (levels, stars, coins, collection, streaks and game statistics) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, linked to that account ID, and kept up to date while you play. Only you can read it. We use it only to restore your progress.

You can sign out at any time in Settings > Your progress. To remove the saved copy and your sign-in record, choose Settings > Delete my saved progress, or email us.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, limit how often you see them and prevent fraud, Google may collect:

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and some US states), the app asks for your choice through Google’s consent form before ads are requested, and you can change it at any time in Settings > Privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

If you buy Jade Mahjong Pro, the app stops requesting ads.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To learn which levels are too easy or too hard and to improve the game, the app records gameplay events such as levels started and finished, hints and shuffles used, sessions, and whether an optional video was watched. Google also receives an app instance ID, device model, operating system version, language and approximate country or region. We use this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, a report is sent with technical details: the error, the device model and operating system, the app’s state at the time, and an installation ID. We use crash reports only to find and fix bugs.

Remote settings (Firebase Remote Config)

The app downloads settings such as ad frequency limits and weekly events, so they can be adjusted without an app update. This uses an installation ID.

Purchases (Google Play)

If you buy Jade Mahjong Pro, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play under Google’s terms. We never see your card or other payment details. The app only receives confirmation that Pro was purchased, so it can unlock it and restore it later.

Reminders

If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled on your device. No information is sent to us to deliver them, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.

How long information is kept

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only with Google, which provides the services described above, and only for those purposes. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Firebase’s privacy and security information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and read Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because the app has no accounts, most information is linked only to device identifiers held by Google. You can use Settings > Privacy choices, reset your advertising ID, or email us, and we will help.

Children

The app is designed for adults and is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help remove any related information.

Security and international transfers

Information sent to Google’s services is encrypted in transit. Google may process it in countries other than yours, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the app.
